Is your marriage surviving
but no longer thriving?
You didn’t walk down the aisle expecting to feel like roommates. There is a way back — and it may be closer than you think.
Everyone of the Christian faith welcome
No one plans to drift apart
No matter where you are in your marriage, the storms come. No one stands at the altar imagining the day they’ll feel like strangers under the same roof. But slowly, quietly, it happens:
- Life gets heavy.
- Careers grow demanding.
- Children fill every hour.
- Stress replaces laughter.
- Conversations become arguments.
- Distance replaces intimacy.
Before long, if you’re not careful, you can begin to feel more like roommates than husband and wife. In fact, when couples are asked why marriages end, the top reasons aren’t money or scandal. It’s that they’re growing apart and no longer being able to talk to one another.
Here is the good news: struggling does not mean your marriage is broken beyond repair.
They need a new vision.
They need hope.
That is exactly what this program was created to give.
You remembered why you chose each other
This isn’t wishful thinking. It’s what hundreds of Christian couples have rediscovered through these biblical principles.
You actually looked forward to time together again.
Hard conversations no longer ended in arguments.
You understood why your spouse thinks so differently than you.
Trust began to grow again, day by day.
You could speak honestly without wounding each other.
Your home felt peaceful instead of tense.
Christ was once again at the center of your marriage.
Your greatest years together were still ahead of you.
We don’t just fix problems.
We help people grow.
Most marriage programs aim straight at the problems. We start somewhere deeper — with the two people in the marriage. When a husband and wife each become healthier, more honest, more whole, a healthier marriage naturally follows.
Our goal isn’t to tell you what your marriage should look like. It’s to help you discover what works best for your marriage.
- Understand yourself before trying to change your spouse
- Discover why you react the way you do
- Communicate without hurting one another
- Rebuild trust that lasts
- Learn your personality, communication styles, spiritual gifts, and love languages
- Gain practical tools you can use right away
- Create a shared vision for your future
- Grow spiritually as husband and wife
— Rev. Fr. Don Purdum
The 8 Values That Build an Authentic Marriage
Drawn from Fr. Don’s book, Authentic Marriage: Eight Values to Building a Lasting Marriage. Each value builds on the one before it.
Transparency
Learning to be emotionally honest and vulnerable again and letting your spouse see the real you, with nothing to hide.
Confidence
Building reliability through everyday actions, so your spouse always knows what to expect from you.
Trust
Restoring assurance after disappointment and gaining the quiet certainty that you will always be there for one another.
Intimacy
Moving beyond the physical into deep emotional and spiritual closeness that belongs to no one else.
Dream Together
Trading survival mode for a shared vision by remembering the life you once imagined building side by side.
Marriage Is a Team Sport
Learning to work with each other instead of against each other. You are stronger together than either of you is apart.
Inspiring Others
Becoming a marriage your children, friends, and neighbors quietly want for themselves.
Leaving a Legacy
Building something that outlives you and a foundation your children and grandchildren will stand on.
Together, these eight values move couples from merely surviving to truly flourishing.
“Marriage is far more than a contract. It is one of God’s greatest gifts. When Christ becomes the center of your relationship, everything changes.”
Marriage becomes more than happiness. It becomes purpose, service, healing, friendship. It’s a shared journey toward Christ. Whether you’ve been married two years or forty, these biblical principles will help you build a marriage rooted in faith rather than feelings.
Fr. Don & Nicole Purdum
Purdum
Don and Nicole were married in July of 1993 and have walked nearly every road a marriage can walk… Military service, seminary, pastoral ministry, Church planting, the highs and lows of building businesses, financial hardship, and raising two sons through it all. They didn’t just study marriage; they lived it, and chose each other again and again.
Over more than twenty-five years — through the Army, the parish, and the marketplace… Fr. Don has walked alongside well over a thousand couples. Again and again they’ve watched husbands and wives who felt like strangers rediscover their love, their laughter, and their faith in Christ.
Their passion is simple: to help couples discover that their greatest marriage is still ahead of them.
